The Cairo Art Book Fair is an annual event that, over the past four years, has become one of the most important art publishing events in the Arab world. It takes place every year during the second week of December and focuses on art books, zines, and independent publishing. Artists, designers, independent publishers, and book lovers come together to share their works and experiences in the field of art publishing.
The main goal of the Cairo Art Book Fair is to give visibility to independent artistic publishing, with a special focus on Egyptian publishers, and to introduce their work to a wider audience. Over the course of three days, visitors can explore a wide range of art books, zines, experimental publications, and small scale printed works, and discover new and alternative publishing practices.
The fourth edition of the Cairo Art Book Fair will take place from 11 to 13 December 2025 at the Ghornaṭa space in Cairo.
The event is open to the public for three days and, in addition to the book and zine fair, includes programs such as workshops, talks, book launches, and collective gatherings. Tehran Zine will also take part in a conversation with the organizing team to talk about its projects and goals since the beginning of its activity.
This year, the fair will host more than 90 participants from 27 countries.
